The
next event on the village calendar is the fete on Saturday

We also need tombola prizes, plants and unwanted plant pots,
any of these donations can be
dropped
off at Debbie's, Cedarwood, Cedar Drive in Bellingdon or
at Zoe’s, |
2 School Close, Asheridge,or contact any fete committee member.
Are you able to sell raffle tickets in your workplace or club?
There are some great prizes, please contact: Bernie 758555
One of the main outdoor events of the day will be the Tug
of War competition - would you like to enter a team? (5 per
team) men's women's and children (11 to 15 years) - should
be great fun.

you will have seen the posters around the villages, so get
clicking! There are wonderful prizes and the photos will
be exhibited in the hall on fete day.

Short
Mat Bowls
A small group of people is arranging a series of Short Mat
Bowls evenings in the village halt on Mondays from 11th July
to 22nd August inclusive at 7.30pm with a view to forming
a club, so why not come and join us to give it a try. No experience
is necessary, but flat soled shoes would be appreciated.
Hope to see you there, or if you need further details, please
ring Brian or Val Latham on 784155. |
Neighbourhood
Watch
Police arrested two men following one burglary and two attempted
burglaries in Bellingdon on 27th May. These men are also
being questioned about a number of other incidents, including
burglaries of non-dwelling properties.
These
arrests came about largely because of the vigilance of householders
in Bellingdon and Asheridge and the diligence of one of
our Neighbourhood Watch coordinators. Well done to all concerned,
- it shows what the community can achieve when we all work
together.
